Bloomington, IL¾ Each year Illinois Farm Bureau® Young Leaders travel somewhere that the commodities and equipment may be different, but the passion for agriculture remains the same. Recently, a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau joined the Ag Industry Tour to visit farms, operations and agri-business’s located throughout Northern Florida.
Julie Mellert of rural Canton was among the 35 Young Leaders from across the state that participated in the tour this year. Along the way they got to experience honey bees, Silvo-pasture, Green Circle Pellet Mill, Oglesby Plant International, Southern Cattle Company and much more. They also enjoyed dinner and engaging conversations with Young Farmers involved in Florida Farm Bureau.
